A Quick wash and brush up
Another demonstration for my video, it shows the British Airways 747-436 being washed prior to its maintenance input. The wash crew first apply detergent to the grubby areas then use heated water, via pressure washers, to remove the grime. The picture depicts a cold wintry morning, sun just above the horizon, with the steam rising into the cold morning air; sunlight shining through the vapour above the fuselage. The wet apron mirroring the activity. It is painted on Bockingford 300gsm rough paper, using Windsor & Newton artists quality paints. The painting, framed oak and a double champagne mount, measures 55cm x 45cm. This picture is on display in the St David's' Hall, Cardiff.
